I'm Emilia! I graduated from Emily Carr University in 2020 with a bachelor's degree in interaction design. I believe that design is about understanding people and their needs. I strive to reflect this fundamental belief in my work, always taking into consideration whom I am designing for and empathizing with those who feel the need to express themselves through thoughtful interactions.

 

I was born and raised in Quito, Ecuador. I am inspired by minimalistic and inclusive design. My design has a different perspective that comes from my home country mixed with my path through life. I strive to push boundaries and to mix two cultures in my creations. I always take into consideration that I was lucky enough to study in a first-world country where problems are really different from where I come from. That has helped a lot when looking for new perspectives when approaching problems, prompts, and projects.
